After a ground-up $43 million renovation, the Riverside Convention Center has now become a cutting-edge facility with a warm boutique feel, perfectly suited for a wide-range of meetings and events. Nestled amidst Spanish Revival architecture of downtown Riverside, the convention center consists of 65,000 square feet of indoor convention space, 22 meeting rooms, upper and lower concourses, leading-edge audiovisual technology, Wi-Fi, and high-tech security. The 20,000 SF outdoor meeting and relaxation area includes a sprawling open-air plaza containing nearly two acres of new landscaping. This plaza is used for daytime gatherings in addition to evening events under the stars.
J&M played a key role on this design/build project and was responsible for constructing site concrete improvements including sidewalks, decorative paved plazas consisting of J&M’s Intecrete® concrete paving, retaining walls to accommodate a network of walkways and ramps, and a monumental grand stairway at the front entry plaza leading to the main convention center entry.
