Anaheim Convention Grand Plaza is located at the new front door to one of the largest convention center facilities in the nation which is directly adjacent to Disneyland and California Adventure theme parks. Once dominated by a vehicular street, this 100,000 square foot pedestrian plaza is now an event space that expands the convention center facility resulting in a substantial revenue generating component to the convention center. J&M constructed the decorative concrete paving and the cast in place concrete portions of three separate themed water features. The architectural concrete paving includes a composition of meandering color and textural patterns constructed entirely with J&M’s Intecrete® concrete paving system. These patterns include a combination of integral colored concrete surface-seeded with natural, crushed rock and recycled blue glass. The three water features include cast concrete elements including J&M’s Stratified Wall™ at the Mountain Fountain and SmoothCast® concrete walls with complex cantilevered terraces at the large elliptical fountain adjacent to the primary entry to the convention center.
