Sage Hill School is Orange County’s first secular, private high school nestled in the Irvine Company’s Newport Coast development. The school offers a program comparable to east coast college preparatory schools but set in a hilltop campus village setting. This 150,000-square-foot, 20-acre educational facility includes a 500-seat performing arts center, gymnasium, administration building, media center, humanities and a math and science academic village.
The school’s steep terrain required extensive use of terraced plazas, cast-in-place concrete retaining walls, and concrete steps. J&M was responsible for the construction of these site concrete elements including amphitheater seating and architectural concrete paving.
