The Robert F. Kennedy Community School is a K-12 school designed to accommodate 4,240 students. The school occupies the former site of the Ambassador Hotel that became a vast, 23 acre void in tghe heart of the Wilshire District for over 30 years. The Ambassador Hotel once hosted the Academy Awards and, unfortunately, the site of Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1968. A portion of this historic site was set aside to accommodate the building of the RFK Learning Center. J&M constructed several architectural concrete elements including J&M’s Intecrete® hand-seeded concrete paving, CIP concrete retaining walls, concrete steps and pedestrian concrete paving.
