Built in 2011, Sontag Residence Hall was the first large-scale residencial project in California to earn LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Located on the liberal arts campus of Pomona College in Claremont, this student residence hall was embellished by J&M’s construction of architectural concrete elements including a variety of walls, some in excess of ten feet high with board-form finish, concrete planter walls with hand-seeded stone aggregates, pervious concrete pavement, and an assortment of decorative concrete paving.
