The original auditorium, constructed in 1924, was badly damaged by arson in 2007. The new auditorium included construction of a 1,300 seat performing arts auditorium and a three-stroy classroom building on the school’s campus. The auditorium is a multi-purpose performance and teaching space that includes a black box theater. Together, these spaces provide an environment appropriate for music, theater, and dance. The facility is the home of the Performing Arts Academy, which at the present time offers performance opportunities in choir, children’s theater, dinner theater, recital hall for concerts and musical theater. The facility also supports a technical theater program and, on occasion, may host outside presenters as well.
J&M was responsible to construct site concrete elements such as paving, curvelinear seatwalls, steps, and ramps.
