This 250,000-square-foot comprehensive high school for 2,500 students is comprised of a joint-use venture with the city of Santa Ana, Centennial Park, the Santa Ana Discovery Museum and Nature Center and the Santa Ana Unified School District. In order to enroll at Godinez, freshmen must participate in a lottery. In addition, students and parents must sign a contract in which they agree to abide by the school’s Fundamental Structures. There is an extensive waiting list of students wishing to attend Godinez.
Responding to the unique site characteristics, the educational program will have a natural science academic focus. The plan includes joint-use access to the park play fields, school gymnasium, performing arts and multipurpose facilities.
