Concordia University is a Lutheran denominational university located on a wooded hilltop overlooking the City of Irvine.  Its location on hilly terrain provides a formidable design challenge that resulted in an arrangement of several gathering spaces and curvilinear pathway systems.  J&M constructed architectural concrete around Grimm Hall that include a variety of decorative concrete paving types, an abundance of cast concrete terraced walls and seatwalls, and numerous concrete steps.
