The Capitol Area East End Complex serves as an example of what can be accomplished when green building is integrated throughout each stage of planning, design, and construction. The project played a major role in the development of downtown Sacramento. Located on the east end of Sacramento’s Capitol Park, the project is a multi-block, mixed-use office development consolidating the operations of two major departments of California State government. The four buildings provided a central headquarters with 1.1 million square-feet of building space, which are adjacent to 630,000 square feet of new parking facilities.
J&M was responsible for site concrete construction that included paving, walls, and steps.
