The CHCF facility located in Stockton is a 1,722 bed intermediate, medical and mental health care facility for inmate patients of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation prison system. It was designed and constructed to consolidate facilities for long term medical inmate patients, as well as acute and intermediate mental health inmate patients into one central location for more efficient, safe, ad cost effective delivery of inmate services. Among the largest and most complex design-build projects ever attempted by the State of California, this 50-building prison healthcare campus was constructed and commissioned in only 22 months from start to finish.
