The Eli and Edyth Broad Center provides state-of-the-art research facilities in a 91,000 sf, five-story, cast-in-place concrete structure with one subterranean level designated for research vivarium. The design features an elaborate curtain wall system surrounded by black granite. Scientists and doctors perform stem cell research in three categories: basic and discovery stem cell research, pre-clinical research and clinical research using state-of-the-art equipment. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.
J&M constructed site concrete elements including paving, stone subslabs, curbs, and gutters.
